Beautiful products. A practical purpose.

Hitah brings together home fragrance, material recovery, and opportunities to earn through skilled work. Hitah Lifestyle serves customers in the United States. Hitah Home Goods serves the Indian market. Both share a mission rooted in The Aroma Project.

We recognize value in materials others overlook, skills waiting for opportunity, and traditions worth carrying forward. Uncovering Brilliance expresses that philosophy.

The problem we took responsibility for

Flowers used in worship and flowers left unsold can become a recurring waste stream. When discarded into waterways or unmanaged dumps, they add to pollution and waste-management pressures. At Hitah, we saw useful material and an opportunity to act.

We collect suitable flowers, sort and dry them, and process them into ingredients for flower-based incense. At Kanchipuram, this work continues through formulation, production, quality checks, and packing.

Our response turns recovered material into useful products and creates paid work for women. Explore our flower-based incense.

Our Mission

Our mission connects material recovery with useful products and opportunities to earn through skilled work.

Suitable recovered flowers become ingredients in our incense formulations. We take responsibility for a recurring waste problem through collection, processing, production, and packing.

We are problem solvers: our work turns a concern for people and the environment into practical enterprise.

Our Story

Rooted in The Aroma Project

The Aroma Project began in 2022 in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, inspired by the life and work of educator Mrs. Chhobi Sarkar. Its mission connects women’s empowerment with education and creative opportunities for economically disadvantaged children.

The project funds its work through product sales through Hitah. Part of the revenue supports its educational and creative objectives. Useful products sustain an enterprise that can continue providing work and opportunity. Learn about The Aroma Project.

The People Behind Hitah

Dr. Malancha Sarkar, a scientist with a background in biology, founded Hitah to connect her concern for people and the environment with practical enterprise. Local women take part in production and packing at Kanchipuram.

Recovered Wax

Wax recovered from comb after honey harvest gains a useful purpose.

Additional Income

Buying beeswax from tribal suppliers creates a second income stream.

100% Beeswax

Our candles contain no added waxes, dyes, or fragrances.

Our candles are made from 100% beeswax, with no additives. We source wax from tribal communities engaged in managed-hive beekeeping or sustainable forest honey harvesting. Extracting and selling wax from comb after honey harvest gives suppliers another income stream and recovers material they previously discarded.
